Although Brazil has a predominantly renewable energy matrix, the Paris Agreement requires the country to reduce emissions by 37% by 2025, 50% by 2030, and achieve carbon neutrality by 2050.
To achieve this, Brazil adopted the "Green Agenda," focused on energy transition and new regulatory frameworks, such as offshore wind generation (PL 576/2021), which has been approved by the Chamber but is still under review in the Senate.
