(VERY) HOT REVIEW ☀️
A heat wave expected to occur between February 12 and 21 is set to affect mainly the Southeast and South, but also the Central-West and Northeast regions of Brazil.
In these regions, high temperatures could produce a heat index of up to 70°C during this period. The projection is based on the Applied Climatology table from the University of São Paulo (USP).
In São Paulo, record-breaking heat is expected between Wednesday (12) and Thursday (13), with forecasted highs between 34°C and 35°C. This suggests the possibility of a heat index above 50°C.
In Rio de Janeiro, high temperatures are also expected this week, with thermometers reaching up to 39°C. On Wednesday (12), humidity levels could reach 88%. If these factors combine, residents may experience a heat index of 66°C.
