On January 4, 2019, it was one year since the enactment of Law No. 13,589/2018, which expanded the obligation of PMOC to now include air-conditioned collective-use establishments (hotels, schools, industrial-use buildings).

Previously, it was only necessary to have a PMOC for air conditioning systems with a capacity greater than 60,000 BTU/H; it was not mandatory for systems below that capacity. But what is PMOC and why is it important?

PMOC (Operation, Maintenance, and Control Plan) is a plan designed to ensure air quality, comfort, and health safety for people in air-conditioned environments through proper maintenance and care of the air conditioning equipment.

For the service we provide, an individual analysis is performed on each unit, after which the maintenance schedule and the forecast for spare parts expenses are defined. After the PMOC is developed and implemented by a technician, you gain the assurance of longer-lasting air conditioning units, reduced energy costs, and lower maintenance expenses.

Inspection is the responsibility of ANVISA, and all those subject to the requirements had a period of 180 days to comply (note that this deadline expired on July 3, 2018).

Those who did not comply are subject to fines ranging from R$ 2,000.00 to R$ 1,500,000.00. So, it’s not worth the risk of being without a PMOC when we are always available and ready to help you, right
